We are now dealing with the paradigm of “spiritual partnerships” and “relationships are one of our best vehicles for learning and personal growth, and when the lesson is over, the relationship can be released for a new lesson. This is a huge gift of divorce. It is a time when we start asking important, life-altering questions such as who am I? How did I lose myself? What is my life purpose? Who am I without my husband or wife?” It’s difficult to step into this paradigm when society all around us still abides by the old one.
